Description

"I can heal the body, but only the soul can heal itself." - Phyero to Hope concerning an unconscious Ashe.

The last to be drawn for my show. Originally there was going to be seven characters but I ran out of time, and patience with a certain someone. I should draw the 7th eventually.

As stated his soul spirit is the spectacled porpoise. I needed a healer for the group, and didn't want another mammal. While yes, porpoises are mammals...I'm pretending it's a fish not a mammal so the group is a little more well rounded with soul spirit animals. I was originally thinking of a dolphin as there are stories of dolphins saving people's lives in olden times, but when I found the spectacled porpoise, and as porpoises are family to dolphins, I figured it would be a nice fit. It also worked as there isn't much known about this particular type of porpoises so I could play with it as much as I wanted.

Why did I call him Phyero I don't know. I might of had the musical Wicked on the brain which subtly played a part in my naming him. *shrugs* Anyway, he is a sage like character, able to cast very powerful magic and healing spells due to his soul spirit ability as well as due to his family; he is the eldest son of the former high priest of Kern. He left Kern when he was 18 on a sort of pilgrimage to prepare for his then future role as the next high priest of Kern, however it was unknown what happened to him as he did not return to Kern. He is the oldest character in the group.

I'll probably update this as I don't like how I 'finished' it for school. I think it needs more work, but we'll see.

Phyero is (c) Me. No touchie/stealie. :threaten:

First off I like the posing it fits him. The coloring is also a strong aspect as it is balanced for now, depends on whether or not you add a background. However I would work on a bit on the lighting in his hair. The highlights in it makes it confusing to tell where the light source is coming from. Other than that nice job. :3 Hope I helped considering this is for your portfolio.
